04 December 2014 – Philippine Ambassador to Turkey Maria Rowena Mendoza Sanchez presented her credentials as non-resident Philippine Ambassador to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on November 26 at the Presidential Palace in Baku.

During the presentation of her credentials, Ambassador Sanchez conveyed the best wishes of President Benigno S. Aquino III to President Aliyev, and expressed the Philippines’ commitment in further enhancing its bilateral relations with the Republic of Azerbaijan. President Aliyev in turn conveyed his warmest greetings to president Aquino.

Ambassador Sanchez was joined by her spouse, Mr. Mario Sanchez, Embassy Attachés Girlie Dinso and Cristopher Baguya, and Embassy Interpreter Efe Acunaz. They also met with Filipino community leaders and provided consular services to the Filipino community in Baku headed by Mr. Brigido Pasa. END
