10 December 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Nestor Z. Ochoa, together with French Ambassador to Brunei Loan Forgeron, officially launched the book entitled “Filipinos in Brunei” on December 06 at the Philippine Chancery.

 “Filipinos in Brunei” features a collection of stories of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) living in Brunei Darussalam, written and compiled by French journalist Cecile Castilla and published by Ads Allure Advertising Sdn Bhd.  It offers insights on the inspiring journey of 20 OFWs coming from different job sectors in Brunei, detailing their aspirations, challenges and achievements.

In an interview, Ambassador Ochoa expressed the hope that the book would be a source of inspiration for Filipinos in the Philippines and overseas. Currently, there are around 21,000 Filipinos working and residing in Brunei Darussalam.  END
