11 December 2014 - Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Joseph Gerard Angeles reported that a mobile consular mission was held in Lusaka from November 22 to 23 to serve the Filipinos residing and working in Lusaka, as well as those from nearby provinces of Solwezi and Copperbelt in Zambia.

In a message, Ambassador Angeles extended recognition to members of the Filipino community for their excellence in their various fields of profession. Most of the Filipinos in Zambia are professionals and skilled workers such as doctors, nurses, accountants, engineers, managers, miners and casino supervisors. END
