15 December 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh successfully conducted its thirteenth (13th) overseas voters registration Ooutreach at the Gas Beach Camp in Jubail, Eastern Province from December 12 to 13. With total figures reached in Jubail and the remaining time before the end of the year, the Embassy is expected to breach the 30,000 mark of new overseas voters registrations facilitated for 2014.
“I encourage every qualified Filipino in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to register as overseas voters so they may exercise their right to vote during the Presidential Elections in 2016,” said Philippine Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Mr. Ezzedin H. Tago.
The Embassy conducted its 13th overseas voters registration outreach at Gas Beach Camp in Jubail, Eastern Province through the Embassy on Wheels (EOW) in Jubail. The overseas voting outreach is the last scheduled for the year in Jubail.
A total of 405 new overseas voters registrations/certifications were facilitated by members of both the Embassy’s and Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) Al Khobar’s overseas voters registration teams in coordination with the local Filipino community in Jubail.
With figures obtained from Jubail, the Embassy’s total overseas voters registration/certifications stand at 29,300 since registration began on May 06 this year. END
