29 December 2014 – The Philippine Embassy in Lisbon participated in the 30th International Bazaar of the Diplomatic Corps at the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa in Lisbon, Portugal on November 21 to 22.

The Philippine Embassy in Lisbon joined 30 other embassies in the annual event organized by the families of Portuguese diplomats and sponsored by Dr. Maria Cavaco Silva, wife of Portuguese President Anibal Cavaco Silva.  The proceeds of this year’s bazaar will be donated to institutions that do social work to help the needy and homeless.

On its fourth year of participation in the annual two-day event, the Philippine Embassy in Lisbon once again took the opportunity to showcase Philippine products to the internationl market composed of the diplomatic corps and Portuguese people.  The Philippine booth featured products ranging from native capiz candle holders, dried Philippine delicacies to photo frames and tissue boxes made of mother of pearls.  Guests who flocked to the Philippine booth also admired the beauty of banana fiber multi-purpose wraps by noted Filipino fashion designer Dita Sandico-Ong.  END
