5 January 2015 - On the occasion of the 118th Death Anniversary and Martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, the Philippine Embassy in Ankara inaugurated its “Sentro Rizal” in compliance with the provisions of Republic Act 10066 or Heritage Law on 29 December 2014 for the purpose of promoting Philippine culture and language throughout the world.

“Sentro Rizal” in Ankara will serve as the repository of materials and resources in multimedia format on Philippine culture and arts and will be open to the public.

The National Commission for Culture and the Arts’s (NCCA) virtual “Sentro Rizal” was shown following the short inauguration.  END
