5 January 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta commemorated the 118th death anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal. The program commenced with a flag raising ceremony at the Philippine Embassy grounds, followed by a traditional Filipino-style breakfast.

Chargé d’ Affaires Roberto G. Manalo gave a short talk on his personal experiences viewing Rizal’s mementos in the Berlin Museum of Natural History in 2011. The Embassy personnel related their own experiences related to Rizal’s legacy in a lively exchange during the breakfast.  END
