08 January 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok launched an exhibition at the gallery @760 sukhumvit road with the theme, My Heritage, Your Adventure: Visit Philippines 2015. Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia officially opened the exhibition on 14 December 2014.
The new exhibition showcases colorful photos of various cultural heritage sites in the Philippines. The exhibition, curated by Ambassador Batoon-Garcia and Second Secretary Princess Tomas-Tayao, will run until March 2015.
Pictures, taken by various Filipino photographers, line the frontage of the Embassy along Sukhumvit Road which is one of Bangkok’s main thoroughfares. In addition to the Department of Tourism, Rafael M. Castillo, Alfred S. del Rosario Jr., Glenn Gamayot, Manuel B. Gaite, Jun Garrido, Parrish B. Pisig, Jose C. Rodriguez IV, and Philip Clayton S. Yu of the Camera Club of the Philippines contributed their photographs to the exhibition, along with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) National Commission of the Philippines and the Department of Science and Technology’s Information and Communications Technology Office (DOST-ICO). Each photograph highlights a unique destination the Philippines wants to share with Thai tourists.
