12 January 2015 - Ten (10) Filipinos currently working as caregivers in Israel are the newest to join the ranks of the Philippines' professional teachers after passing the first Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers in Israel conducted last 16 November 2014 at the Terra Sancta School in Tel Aviv-Jaffa. The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board for Professional Teachers (BPT) announced on January 06 on the PRC website that two elementary teachers out of 39 examinees and eight secondary teachers out of 51 examinees passed the board examinations last year. Following are the newest batch of professional teachers from Israel:
Elementary Level:

8. Villaflores, Alma Nago
Philippine Ambassador to Israel Neal Imperial congratulated the 10 successful passers: "I congratulate those who passed the teachers' examinations and would like to encourage the 80 other applicants who did not make it to consider taking the test again in the future," said the Ambassador. "Consider it a long-term investment in your future," he added.
Labor Attache Rodolfo Gabasan, who helped organize the teachers' examinations with the PRC, said that the Embassy is looking at the possibility of conducting more examinations in the future not only for teachers, but also for other professions such as nursing. END
