22 January 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to South Korea Raul S. Hernandez visited two major South Korean media agencies from January 13 to 14.  On January 13, the Ambassador met with new President-Publisher of Korea Times, Mr. Lee Chang-sup, at the latter’s office in Limkwang Tower in Seoul’s Seodaemun-gu. Veteran reporter Lee, 55, became the head of Korea’s oldest English-language newspaper in late October 2014.

The Ambassador also met with key figures in the English news team of Korea JoongAng Daily, led by Executive Editor and Chief Operating Officer (COO) and, Dr. RyuKwon-ha, Chief Editor Anthony Spaeth and National Desk Staff Reporter Sarah Kim at their latter’s office in Mapo-gu in Seoul on January 14. One of South Korea’s three leading English newspapers, the Korea JoongAng Daily was established in early 2000 as the partner broadsheet in Korea of the International Herald Tribune (International New York Times since 2013).
