Singapore-frizbee team

13 August 2013 - Four Filipino ultimate Frisbee teams took part in the WFDF Asia-Oceanic Ultimate Club Championships 2013 held at the Turf City, Singapore, on August 9 to 11.

 

Sunken Pleasure, so named since the team plays at the University in the Philippines’ (UP’s) Sunken Garden, took 2nd place in a field of 27 teams under the Mixed Category, succumbing only to Australia’s Ellipsis team. The 3rd spot went to Mixed Nuts, another Filipino team, which defeated Singapore’s Shiok. Also from the Philippines, the Rogers placed 12th in the same category.

 

Meanwhile, the Bisaya Wild Mongrels placed 1st out of four teams in the Open Division, outdoing Singapore’s Crackerjacks.

 

The regional club championship saw teams participating from Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and Viet Nam. END
