23 January 2015 – The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted a consular outreach to Kona from January 17 to 18, serving 170 applicants and registering 97 overseas voters. The Kona Central District 7 Council, through the office of Councilman Dru Mamo Kanuha and Legislative Assistant Jane Clement made possible the use of the West Hawaii Civic Center for the outreach. A few applicants from Hilo were also served, although the last outreach to Hilo was on November 15, 2014.

During the outreach, Philippine Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin also took the opportunity to meet Filipino community leaders such as Mr. Bong Agatep, and Hilo-based Hawaii County council members Dru Mamo Kanuha, District 7, and Valerie Poindexter, Council Member, District 1. END
