26 January 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Mexico’s Finance Officer and deputized Commission on Elections (COMELEC) representative Mr. Randy S. Hilot conducted a consular outreach and overseas voters registration for the members of the Filipino community in Caracas, Venezuela on January 17.

The Embassy extended e-Passport renewal and overseas voters registration services at the office of Philippine Honorary Consul General to Venezuela Atty. Andres Duarte Vivas,  located at Torre Credicard, Avenida Principal El Bosque, Chacaito District, Caracas, Venezuela.

Fifteen (15) Filipinos applied for the renewal of their passports while 10 qualified applicants for overseas voters registration availed of the Embassy’s services.

The passport renewal applicants and qualified registrants, who are mostly working with religious orders, expressed their appreciation for the Embassy´s conduct of the services in their area as most of their passports will expire this year while some have expired years ago and they don’t have the financial capacity to travel to Mexico for the renewal of their passports.

This is part of the Embassy’s efforts to reach out to all the members of the Filipino community in the countries under its jurisdiction. END
