23 January 2015 – Ways to improve services to the Filipino workers and migrants and development of their well-being as well as promotion of family values, Philippine traditions and welfare of the Filipino youth were topics discussed by Philippine Consul General Marichu Mauro with the Jesus is Lord (JIL) leaders headed by Pastor Benny Alcantara when they visited the Consulate General on January 15.  

The JIL leaders updated the Consul General of their ongoing activities and projects aimed to develop skills and welfare of Filipinos in Milan and Northern Italy and worship ministries they conduct in various areas where there are high concentration of Filipinos. The Consulate General and JIL agreed to closely collaborate in activities that will promote love of God and country, and build up and harness Filipino workers’ skills and talents thereby helping them contribute more to their own communities.
