27 January 2015 – Philippine Consul General Lilybeth R. Deapera met with Commissioner Hu Zhengyue of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China in Macau SAR on January 21 to ceremonially receive her exequatur and discuss bilateral matters.

Commissioner Hu congratulated Consul General Deapera on her assignment in Macau and stated that the presence of the Philippine Consulate in the Macau SAR shows that the Philippine Government places high importance on handling the consular affairs of its citizens efficiently. The Consul General and the Commissioner agreed on the mutual benefits of strengthened bilateral ties for both sides. 

The Consul General conveyed her appreciation at the warm welcome and expressed her desire to explore areas of cooperation and increase cultural activities and people-to-people exchanges. END
