28 January 2015 – The officers and staff of the Philippine Consulate General in Macau SAR attended the 101st World Day of Migrants and Refugees organized by the Macau Catholic Pastoral Center on January 18. The theme of the event, “Church without Frontiers, Mother to All,” highlighted the sacrifices and contributions of migrant communities all over the world. The event also reminded the migrant communities of the need for spiritual nourishment and the sense of community that should always be fostered.
The event started with a mass presided by Bishop Jose Lai at the St. Augustine Church. A fellowship lunch and cultural presentations from the different migrant communities in Macau followed at St. Joseph’s seminary. END
