28 January 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Chongqing, led by Consul General Olivia V. Palala, conducted overseas voters (OV) registration for Filipino engineers working at AT&S Chongqing Co. Ltd. and their dependents.

A total of 18 new successful OV registrants were registered during the event, including teachers who were also encouraged to register for overseas voting.

Aside from OV registration, the Consulate General also conducted registration of Filipino community members, to add to the Consulate General’s official database of Filipinos in Chongqing. A total of 20 Filipinos were issued IDs.

Consul General Palala also took the opportunity to invite everyone to the Consulate General’s planned National Day Reception to be held on May 31 at the Intercontinental Hotel of Chongqing.

This was Consul General Palala’s first Filipino community event and it was warmly received by the members of the Filipino community.  END
