03 February 2015 – Philippine Consul General in Macau SAR Lilybeth R. Deapera as well as new Consulate General officers and staff were introduced to the Filipino community during the year’s initial leaders’ forum held at the Consulate premises. Consul General Deapera began her tour of duty in Macau on January 14. Seventy-one (71) members of the Community as well as twenty two (22) Consulate General personnel were in attendance.

After the introduction, the community was informed and encouraged to avail of ongoing training and skills enhancement programs being offered by the Consulate General and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office such as computer classes and the six-month Leadership and Social Entrepreneurship (LSE) course carried out in partnership with the Ateneo de Manila University. Administrative and consular reminders were also discussed in the open forum.

The event concluded with a simple dinner with the attendees and Consulate personnel. END
