18 February 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia, accompanied by Philippine Minister and Consul General Edgar Badajos, made a farewell call on “The Nation” newspaper President Pana Janviroj and Executive Director Nophakhun Limsamarnphun on January 11. “The Nation” is one of Thailand’s leading English-language dailies.

In 2013, the newspaper, in collaboration with Asia News Network with which it is affiliated, led a fund-drive for the victims of Super-Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan. END
