18 February 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia paid courtesy calls on Thai officials as the Ambassador is nearing the completion of her tour of duty. 

On February 05, Ambassador Batoon-Garcia called on Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand. The Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Secretary Narong noted that overall Philippines-Thailand bilateral relations remain cordial and dynamic as it has always been. They also reaffirmed the friendly relations between the two countries and their peoples.

On February 10, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Professor Pornpetch Wichitcholchai, President of the National Legislative Assembly. She also expressed her appreciation for the  cooperation and hospitality extended by the Assembly to the Embassy and its officials.

On February 17, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister General Tanasak Patimapragorn at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She likewise thanked the Ministry for the cooperation and hospitality extended by the Thai Government to the Embassy and its officials.

The Deputy Prime Minister presented to the Ambassador the symbolic check of US$ 100, 000.00 representing the donation by the Royal Thai Government to those affected by Super Typhoon Hagupit/Ruby. Ambassador Batoon-Garcia took the opportunity to express gratitude to the Royal Thai Government for assisting disaster-affected communities in the Philippines END
