24 February 2015 - Philippine Consul General Frank R. Cimafranca led the first consular mission to Ras Al Khaima for the year where almost 300 Filipino clients were provided various services such as passport renewal, Assistance-to-Nationals (ATN) counseling, registration of births and marriages and registration of new overseas voters who are currently based in the Northern Emirate.
There are an estimated 25,000 Filipino workers in Ras Al Khaima and the nearby areas.
The Filipino Club of Ras Al Khaima organized the consular mission together with other Filipino leaders and business establishments in the area which cater to the Filipino community.
In his welcome speech, Consul General Cimafranca reiterated the commitment of the Consulate General to provide consular services wherever these may be needed by Filipinos.
The Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration-Dubai (OWWA-Dubai) also participated in the Consular Mission and provided one-stop shop services such as Pag-IBIG, Social Security System (SSS), OWWA registration and Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) application during the one-day event.
