24 February 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Grace Relucio Princesa attended the opening day of the 20th “Gulfood: The Gulf Food Hotel and Equipment Exhibition and Salon Culinaire” at the Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, UAE on February 08 to support the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) – Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) and participating Philippine food companies at the five-day event.
Twenty-four (24) Philippine food companies showcased their products at the Philippine pavilion – branded “Food Philippines” with the tagline “Taste by Design” – and highlighted the country’s halal-certified food products and “power” fruits such as banana, coconut, mango and pineapple. Bayabao joined Ambassador Princesa to give support to DTI-CITEM and the Philippine exhibitors. CITEM was represented by Ms. Victoria M. Arellano and Mr. Michael Louis N. Flororita, Senior Trade Industry Development Specialists of the Project Management Department.
According to CITEM, Gulfood is one of the highest volume trading platforms where Philippine food companies can best position themselves for the export market in the MENASA region. END
