26 February 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Oslo conducted a consular outreach service and overseas voter registration in Helsinki from February 21 to 22. The two-day outreach served over 230 Filipinos living in various parts of Finland, providing e-Passport processing, civil registry reporting, and general consular assistance. In addition, the consular team also facilitated several dual-citizenship applications, including the administration of the necessary oath of allegiance.
Filipinos from all over Finland, including from Espoo and far away cities like Vaasa and Oulu, gathered in Helsinki to take advantage of the mobile consular services. The team also registered 95 new overseas voters who will vote in the upcoming 2016 national elections in the Philippines.
