16 August 2013 - The Consulate General of the Philippines in Dubai and Northern Emirates notes the sustained increase in its passport applications for the months of May, June and July 2013 with the three month figure jumping 10.9% year on year.

A total of 12,119 applications were received as opposed to 10,931 in 2012.

June posted the highest growth of 21% increase followed by May with 9.5% while July suffered a decline of 1.6% which is attributed to the lesser number of operating hours during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Meanwhile, June visa applications posted a 13% increase offsetting the 3% drop for July which could also be attributed to the observance of Ramadan.  END
