05 March 2015 – Philippine Consul General Neil Ferrer met with Mr. Jason Ko, President and CEO of Viva Pharmaceutical, Inc., the biggest GMP-certified pharmaceutical and natural health food products manufacturer in British Columbia, Canada last February 24.

Consul General Ferrer also toured the state of the art Viva plant in Richmond, B.C., and observed the various stages of production, inspection and packaging for the wide range of vitamins, minerals and other pharmaceutical and health products the company produces. 

At the meeting, Mr. Ko emphasized the corporate mission, vision, priority undertakings and commitment to total quality assurance of Viva. Since its inception in April 1994, Viva Pharmaceutical Inc. has built a reputation as a leading manufacturer committed to the production of custom-made pharmaceutical and natural health food products for its customers worldwide.

Consul General Ferrer invited Mr. Ko to consider investing in the Philippines, providing him basic information on doing business in the country. Consul General Ferrer noted the Philippines’ steady economic growth as a source of optimism for businessmen and investors in the Philippines.

Consul General Ferrer also encouraged Mr. Ko to consider importing raw materials from the Philippines, such as banaba leaves, malunggay, mambog, coconut oil, and other medicinal raw materials, which are gaining much attention from pharmaceutical and health products producers in different parts of the world, including Canada.
