11 March 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Agana,Guam conducted its first mobile consular mission for the Filipinos residing in the Republic of Palau for 2015 at Palasia Hotel in Koror from March 06 to 08. 

Consul Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian led the consular team composed of Mr. Francisco Magno (for passport services), Mr. Emmanuel Garcia (for overseas voters registration), Ms. Juliet Simbul (for Assistance-To-Nationals/ATN services, authentication/notarials and civil registration), and Ms. Emerita Marquez (Collecting Officer).

The consular team was able to process a total of 211 e-Passport applications (including one lost passport replacement), 16 passport extensions, seven reports of birth, one report of marriage, one report of death, 11 notarials/authentications, two employment contract verifications and one visa application.

The team was also able to register a total of 104 new overseas voters for the May 2016 national elections and attend to seven ATN cases.

On March 06, Consul Auxilian also called on Mr. Ringsang Rechirei, Director of the Bureau of Labor and Human Resources, Palau Ministry of Justice, to inform him of the consular mission and discuss some relevant issues and concerns affecting the Filipinos in Palau. Director Rechirei thanked the Consulate General for the visit and expressed hope that the Consulate General would continue to conduct an outreach mission regularly for the benefit of Filipinos working in Palau.

Consul Auxilian also attended a consultation meeting with The Filipino Community of Palau (TFCP) held on March 07 and graced the basketball event of the Filipino community at the Koror sport stadium on March 08.

The Consulate General conveyed its deep appreciation to Philippine Honorary Consul in the Palau Eric Ksau Whipps and the volunteers from TFCP for the excellent arrangement and support they have extended that ensured the success of the mobile consular service. END
