13 March 2015 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong SAR attended on March 01 two cultural events hosted by Hong Kong district councils for the ethnic minorities as part of their efforts to promote multicultural understanding, social and racial harmony and respect for cultural diversity in their respective communities.
The Minority Groups Program organized by Ching Chung Taoist Association, in partnership with the Tuen Mun District Council and Yuen Long Town Hall, was held at Choy Yee Bridge, Tuen Mun District, New Territories. The event was attended by the following Filipino community organizations in Hong Kong:

3. La Union Federation
4. Philippine Cultural Academy Dance Ensemble
5. Pasaway Bida HK
6. Association of Luzonian Overseas Workers

12. Sreet Movers Diva
Aside from the Philippines, Indonesia, India and Nepal participated in the program.
The Working Group on Ethnic Affairs of Yau Tsim Mong District Council and Yau Tsim Mong South Area Committee, in partnership with the Yau Tsim Mong District Office and Yau Tsim Mong District Council, organized the Yau Tsim Mong District Ethnic Cultural Show 2015 at the Kowloon Park Piazza, Tsim Sha Tsui. It was attended by diplomats from Cambodia, India, and Bangladesh.
The event featured two sets of traditional Chinese dragon dances which swayed to the beat of the drums and gongs.
Students from Yaumati Kaifong Association School, which included Filipinos, also performed a short drama depicting the social situations and culture of the ethnic minorities. END
