13 March 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Budapest, Hungary conducted a two-day mobile consular mission in Bucharest, Romania.  Headed by Philippine Ambassador to Hungary Eleanor L. Jaucian, the consular team, which comprised Philippine Consul General Patricia V. Barrera and members of the Philippine Embassy in Budapest, was able to process passport renewals, notarials and other consular services as well as register potential overseas voters for the upcoming elections in 2016.

Ambassador Jaucian also met with members of the Filipino community in Romania, some coming from as far away as Brasov or Constata.  About 50 Filipinos were in attendance during the meeting with the Ambassador. She informed the community about the latest developments in the Philippines as well as announcements from the Embassy.  An open forum allowed Filipinos to ask questions as well as voice their opinions on their work situation in Romania.
