13 March 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok recently participated with an exhibit booth in the ASEAN Week 2015 held at Plaza Square, Central World Mall from March 03 to 05.

ASEAN Week 2015 was organized by the Department of Public Relations under the Office of the Prime Minister. The three-day event promoted ASEAN awareness among the Thai people through various activities such as concerts, cultural performances, ASEAN quizzes and exhibition booths.

M.L. Panadda Diskul, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office, delivered the opening speech and Mr. Apinan Juntarungsri, Director-General of the Thai Government Public Relations Department, presided over the opening ceremony.  In his remarks, M.L. Panadda briefly touched on the history of ASEAN, congratulated the Department of Public Relations headed by Mr. Apinan for hosting the event to promote awareness of ASEAN among the Thai people, and thanked the participating Embassies for cooperating in the success of the event.  END
