21 August 2013 - The Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles hosted a dinner reception on August 15 in honor of the Philippine National Police (PNP) participants of the Public Safety Officers Senior Executive Course (PSOSEC) Class 2013-84 and 85.
The class, headed by Police Chief Superintendent Edgardo Clemente, was accompanied by their counterparts from the Los Angeles Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Los Angeles Sheriff Department. US Embassy Legal Attaché Gibson Wilson accompanied the 56-member PNP delegation.
The PSOSEC participants are in Los Angeles for a training program to develop the participant’s’ competence level and character to prepare them to assume command and staff positions in provincial, regional and national level in the PNP.
This partnership between the PNP and the FBI is on its eighth year and has deepened the law-enforcement between the Philippines and the United States. This is the 2nd batch for year 2013 received by the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles. In April this year about 50 participants came to Los Angeles under the same program. END
