17 March 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok conducted a consular outreach program in Hatyai, Songkhla on February 14 for Filipinos in Songkhla and neighboring provinces in Southern Thailand. The consular team, headed by Vice Consul Anna Marie C. Santos, rendered passport and other consular services, including legalization of documents and issuance of Filipino identification cards. The team also registered qualified Filipinos for overseas voting.

During the outreach program, Philippine Ambassador to Thailand Jocelyn Batoon-Garcia gave her farewell remarks to the Filipino community, stressing the importance of exercising vigilance in monitoring the security situation in the area. The Ambassador likewise encouraged them to join the Embassy in promoting the Philippines as a tourism and investment destination. She also thanked the Filipino community for their support during her term, which ends in March 2015.

Vice Consul Anna Marie Santos conducted a Financial Learning Seminar (FLS) twice, for the morning and afternoon crowd, as well as updated the Filipino community on various matters of concern.  END
