18 March 2015 – The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) headed by PFA Chairman Emeritus Mr. Samie Lim participated in the Myanmar International Franchise & SME Expo held in Yangon from March 13 to 14.

Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Alex G. Chua, in a meeting with the PFA delegation, expressed hope that Philippine franchise brands will be able to find a market in Myanmar.

The PFA’s participation is part of the ongoing effort of the association to create awareness in Myanmar of Philippine franchise brands. In November last year, PFA sent a four-member delegation to conduct an exploratory business mission to Myanmar. Due to that mission, PFA was invited to participate in the Myanmar International Franchise & SME Expo in Yangon in exchange to the Myanmar Restaurants’ Association’s participation to the Asia Franchise PHL 2015 in Manila on June 10 to 14.
