vancouver consular

19 March 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Vancouver conducted a consular outreach activity in High River on March 11 to 13 to provide passport, notarial and civil registry services for Filipinos living in Alberta province. A total of 716 applications for passport renewals and first-time applicants were processed in High River using the Consulate’s appointment system.

During the visit to High River, Consul Rogelio Villanueva, Jr. met with the owner of the High River franchise of Tim Hortons, a Canadian restaurant chain; and a human resource manager from Cargill, Incorporated, a multinational company which imports frozen meat products to the Philippines.

The consular outreach in High River Calgary was held at the Highwood Memorial Center in downtown High River.

In 2013, a wide area of High River was devastated by a flood that was considered the worst in the history of Alberta. END
