23 March 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa, conducted consular missions in the Kingdom of Lesotho from March 07 to 08 and in the Kingdom of Swaziland from March 14 to 15.
The Embassy team was warmly welcomed by the Filipino communities in Lesotho and Swaziland. The Proud Organization of Flipinos in Lesotho (PROFILE) assisted the Embassy team in organizing the consular outreach in Lesotho’s capital, Maseru. The Embassy team processed a total of 61 e-Passports, one post passport, two reports of birth, two reports of marriage, five certifications of documents and 12 overseas voters registration.
The Filipinos in Swaziland Association (FILSWAA) welcomed and assisted the Embassy team in Swaziland’s capital of Mbabane. The Embassy team processed a total of 22 e-Passport applications, two reports of birth, two certifications of documents and 11 overseas voters registration.
The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria regularly conducts consular missions in the nine countries under its jurisdiction – South Africa, Angola, Mozambique, Lesotho, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia and Botswana. An estimated total of 400 Filipinos live in Lesotho while 350 Filipinos reside in Swaziland. END
