22 August 2013 – The Iloilo Softball Girls team, champions of the 2013 Asia-Pacific Little League Awards, paid a courtesy visit on Philippine Consul General in Los Angeles Maria Hellen Barber De La Vega on August 19.

The Iloilo Philippine Softball champions qualified for the Little League World Series held in Portland, Oregon and Kirkland, Washingon recently. The Asia Pacific Little League Division (11-12 yrs old) came in 7^th Place and the Junior Division (13-14 yrs old) was able to come in 4^th place.

While in transit in Los Angeles, some Filipino-American organizations played host to the team, among them, the Knights of Colombus and the Ilonggo Association of Southern California. END
