26 March 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Brunei Darussalam held a Lecture-Seminar on Women’s Rights under Brunei’s Laws on March 20 at the Embassy grounds. 

The lecture, conducted by Atty. Naz Parveen Hj Rashid, an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court in Brunei Darussalam, was made in conjunction with the 2015 National Women’s Month, with the theme “Juana, Desisyon Mo ay Mahalaga sa Kinabukasan ng Bawat Isa, Ikaw Na!” 

Ninety (90) participants, composed of 70 females and 20 males from the Embassy and the various Filipino organizations in Brunei Darussalam, attended the activity.

As a special gesture, each female attendee was given a simple token after the event. END
