30 March 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Milan hosted the first 2015 gathering of the Asian Consular Group (ACG) on March 25 at the Club Lounge of Radisson Blu Hotel, Milan.

The ACG is composed of the Consul Generals and Honorary Consuls of all Asian consulates in Milan. The group convenes every month to update one another on issues of mutual concern and interest.

In attendance were the Consul Generals from Bangladesh, China, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Japan and Kuwait and the Honorary Consuls of Armenia and Thailand. Mr. Alessandro Rosso and Ms. Cristina Popper from the World Expo Commissioners Club were the guest speakers at the dinner.

Mr. Rosso, the chairman of a group of companies specializing in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), talked at length about the World Expo Commissioners Club. Philippine Consul General to Milan Marichu Mauro, the dinner’s host, invited representatives from the World Expo Commissioners Club in particular to brief the ACG on the club’s facilities and services for participating delegations in the Expo Milan 2015, which is opening in roughly a month’s time.
