22 August 2013 - The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok participated in the ASEAN Cultural Festival entitled, “Colours of ASEAN,” which was held at Siam Paragon Mall in Bangkok from August 08 to 12.
The event was organized by the Thai Ministry of Culture and Siam Paragon Mall to celebrate HM Queen Sirikit’s 81st birth anniversary and to commemorate ASEAN day. The event showcased the diversity of ASEAN culture through a variety of dances and booth exhibition.
The Philippines participated with an exhibition booth. A separate ASEAN booth was also set up to showcase the traditional products and artifacts representative of each of the ASEAN member country.
The Sining Kumintang ng Batangas, the official cultural performing group of the Province of Batangas, was among the dance groups invited by the Ministry of Culture to perform Philippine folk dances during the five-day event. END
