30 March 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Rome, with the cooperation with Philippine Honorary Consul in Palermo Antonino di Liberto and the Associazione Comunitaria Filippina led by President Natalia Pasabe, conducted a consular outreach mission and overseas voters registration in Messina, Sicily from March 21 to 22.
The seven-member consular outreach team, headed by Vice Consul Candy Cypres, serviced more than 500 Filipinos coming from Messina and neighboring Reggio Calabria, Palermo, and Catanzaro. The team processed 345 renewal of e-Passports, 15 Reports of Birth (RoB), one Report of Marriage (RoM), three affidavits/notarials and two dual citizenship applications. Two hundred eighty five (285) new overseas voters were also registered.
Welfare Officer Loreta Vergara, Overseas Workers Welfare Aministration (OWWA) Administrative Assistant Corazon Sangco, Pag-IBIG Member Services Officer Delilah Gutierrez and SSS Assistant Francisco Bacol also joined the consular outreach services.
The next outreach mission is scheduled in Catania, Sicily from April 11 to 12. END
