06 April 2015 - Filipino organizations, led by the Knights of Rizal and associations that mainly comprise overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), once again exhibited their talent as they promoted Philippine culture and boosted efforts to enhance green awareness at the Hong Kong Flower Show 2015 held at Victoria Park from March 20 to 29.
Carrying the theme “When Blossoms Dance,” the Knights of Rizal exhibit featured hanging orchids and the Mayon Volcano.
Filipino community organizations, namely, Visayas Mindanao Music and Dance Ensemble, Leyte Achievers International Club, Philippine Cultural Dance Ensemble Tinikling Chapter, Boholanos in HK, Agusan HK Society, Philippine International Dance Group HK, Filipino Image Society, Abante Cagayanos, Alliance of Luzonian Overseas Workers, The United City of San Fernando, Filipino Image Society, and Benguet Federation, presented cultural songs and dances at the Flower Show 2015 on March 22.
The Hong Kong Flower Show was organized by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to enhance green awareness and promote horticulture to the general public. It was attended by over 500,000 visitors. END
