13 April 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to Italy Domingo P. Nolasco presented his credentials to President Sergio Mattarella of the Italian Republic at the Palazzo del Quirinale (Quirinal Palace, the official residence of the President) in Rome on April 08.

At the Sala degli Arazzi di Lille of the Quirinal Palace, Ambassador Nolasco presented his Letter of Credence and the Letter of Recall of his predecessor to President Mattarella.

In his conversation with President Mattarella, Ambassador Nolasco highlighted the importance of his mission in Italy, specifically in enhancing bilateral trade relations; strengthening political relations; and promoting the interests and welfare of the Filipino community in Italy.

President Mattarella expressed confidence in the further strengthening of bilateral relations, and specifically cited his country’s appreciation for the contribution of the Filipino community to Italian society.  END
