15 April 2015 – Philippine Consul General Leo Herrera-Lim joins the commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan held on April 09 at the Bob Hope Patriotic Hall. The event was organized by the Filipino Veterans Foundation, led by its Executive Director Dr. Jenny Batongmalaque.

In his remarks, Consul General Leo Herrera-Lim acknowledged the important role of Filipino- American and American veterans who courageously fought side-by-side during the second World War (WWII). Consul General Herrera-Lim expressed solidarity with the veterans in their quest of achieving full recognition from the US Veterans Office.

LA County Supervisor Hilda Solis, in her remarks, praised the valor and sacrifice of WWII veterans.  She also assured them of her support and assistance in their claims for benefits from the US Veterans Office. END
