16 April 2015 – Officials from the Philippine Retailers’ Association (PRA), led by PRA President Lorenzo Formoso, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to China Erlinda F. Basilio on March 30.

PRA is conducting a roadshow in China to promote the 17th Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition (APRCE Manila 2015), scheduled to be held from October 28 to 30 at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.

APRCE is a major project of the Federation of Asia-Pacific Retailers Associations (FAPRA), held every two years and is considered to be Asia’s biggest and longest running retail convention and exhibition since its inaugural exhibition in Tokyo, Japan in 1983. The Philippines last hosted the APRCE in 1993.

The PRA, previously known as the Chamber of Philippine Department Stores and Retailers, Inc., was established in 1976, and made a change to its present name in 1991.  PRA has over 300 member companies from various sectors such as retailers, mall and shopping center operators to traders/suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and wholesalers, among others.  END
