17 April 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in New York, in coordination with the Philippine Community of Southern New Jersey, Inc. (PCSNJ) successfully conducted another consular outreach event for Filipinos living in the southern New Jersey area. The seven-person consular team, lead by Consul Kerwin Tate, went to Stratford, New Jersey in the morning of March 21 to provide services to the large group of Filipinos who had been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the consular team.
The venue of the outreach was the PCSNJ headquarters, located in the White Horse Pike in Stratford. Leaders and members of the organization were at hand to provide assistance to the applicants, as well as to hand out refreshments and informational materials on community matters and upcoming activities of the Consulate to the applicants and their companions. With a steady stream of applicants pouring in, the Team was able to process 104 total applicants for various services and Civil Registry actions. The Team also processed a large number of applications for overseas voters registration.
Other Consular Outreaches were held on March 28 in Manchester, New Hampshire and on March 29 in Middletown, Rhode Island. END
