24 April 2015 –Landbank Overseas Representative for Brunei, Malaysia and Indonesia Grace Sausa arrived in Manado City, Indonesia on April 16 in order to meet with the Filipino community in North Sulawesi to disseminate information on the various overseas remittance, investment and financial services of Landbank to Filipinos in Indonesia. Ms. Sausa made a courtesy call to Acting Head of Post Jan Sherwin P. Wenceslao and was assisted throughout her visits by the Philippine Consulate General in Manado and in coordinating the meetings with the Filipino community.
Ms. Sausa met with Filipino teachers and management from Manado Independent School (MIS), as well as senior managers of Filipino-owned tuna fishing and canning companies in Bitung City. Of particular interest was the potential for Landbank’s overseas remittance service in Indonesia, through its recent partnership with PT Prima Express Remit, a licensed remittance company based in Jakarta. The arrangement allows Filipino nationals within Eastern Indonesia to transfer funds via BCA Bank Indonesia to any bank in the Philippines at minimal cost, and for Landbank to handle the processing and final disposition of the remittance transactions of PT Prima Express Remit. The service was met with enthusiasm by the Filipino community, at it may particularly benefit Filipino professionals in Eastern Indonesia.
The visit of Landbank to Manado was part of the Outbound Business Mission to Manado from April 16 to 18, co-organized by the Philippine Consulate General in Manado and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, Jakarta. END
