30 April 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General conducted a mobile consular outreach to Maui on April 25 to 26. The consular team processed passport renewal and new passport applications and registered voters for the 2016 Philippine elections.
Consul Roberto T. Bernardo administered the oaths of allegiance to 30 new dual citizens. The outreach was made possible through coordination with the County of Maui officials Herman Andaya, Director, Office of the Mayor, and Jan Shishido, Deputy Director. Consul Bernardo also guested on the radio program of Arnel Alvarez, Mix 105.5 FM Radio, and talked about dual citizenship, the Ambassador, Consuls General & Tourism Directors Tour, and overseas voters registration, as well as answered a live phoned in question on dual citizenship related to inherited property. Consul Bernardo also met Maui artist Philip Sabado, who has been commissioned by corporate clients such as Bank of Hawaii in Maui and St. Francis Hospital in Oahu to do murals. END
