30 April 2015 - Team Physical Therapist and Assistant Athletic Trainer of the New York Knicks Dr. Erwin Benedict Valenica made a courtesy call on Philippine Consul General Mario L. de Leon on April 24. Dr. Erwin, who was raised and educated in the Philippines, is the first Filipino-American medical staff in the NBA and the Major League Baseball (MLB) where he also served as Rehabilitation Director of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He is proud to have earned his BS Physical Therapy in UP-Manila, his high school at La Salle Zobel, and his primary school at the Ateneo de Davao. He is also active in inspiring the younger generation to achieve in life and has offered his services to the Consulate in its engagement program with the 2nd generation Filipino-American youth. END
