06 May 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to Qatar Wilfredo C. Santos presented his credentials to Foreign Minister of the State of Qatar Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah at the Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 05.

Ambassador Santos expressed his appreciation to the Foreign Minister for Qatar's hospitality in hosting some 200,000 Filipinos in the country and highlighted his keen interest in enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries.

Minster Al Attiyah invited Ambassador Santos to meet at a later time to further discuss matters of mutual interest to both countries.

Ambassador Santos is the sixth ambassador to serve in the State of Qatar since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Philippines and Qatar in 1981. END
