brasilia students

08 May 2015 – Brazilian students from Classe A School in Porto Velho, Rondônia were given a taste of Filipino culture during several visits to the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia. The students represented the Philippines in SINUS 2015 held from May 01 to 03 in Brasilia.

The United Nations Simulation for Secondary School (SINUS) is a project of the University of Brasilia (UNB) which aims in the preparation and implementation of a simulated UN event in which high school students from all over Brazil simulate International Conference multilateral forums.

During their first visit to the Philippine Embassy on April 28, the students were served with a sampling of Filipino merienda such as pancit bihon, cassava cake and fried lumpia.

 

Philippine Ambassador to Brazil Jose D.R. Burgos also hosted a farewell dinner for the students and teachers at the official residence on May 03 where they were served with pinakbet, beef tapa, adobong manok and brazo de mercedes, among others. After the dinner, they enjoyed a videoke session to cap the night. END
