13 May 2015 – Philippine Consul Rea Oreta led a team from the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles in conducting a consular outreach program in Phoenix, Arizona on May 02 and 03.

The consular outreach program was undertaken in cooperation with the sponsor organizations: Filipino American Business Chamber of Commerce of Arizona (FABCCA), National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA Arizona Chapter), Halo-Halo Kitchen and FABCCA’s media partners, Arizona Filipino Forum and Chikka Magazine.

A total of 628 consular and voter registration services were rendered during the two-day consular outreach program. Below is a breakdown of services rendered:

Consul Oreta was accompanied by Misses Wilmina Bautista, Rebecca Hipolito, Deborah Palado and Melchora Tagle and Messrs. Domingo Salvador Bea and Marvin Samonte.

The Consular Outreach Program (COP) is a regular activity of the Consulate to bring its various services closer to its constituents residing in areas within its jurisdiction.  According to the 2010 U.S. Census, there are 35,012 Filipinos in the Arizona area. END
